Taste your way around North Georgia’s wine country from a single location at the 23rd Annual WineFest, on the grounds of Habersham Winery on Saturday, May 2, 2015 from 12:00pm to 5:00pm.
Wine is of course the star of this festival, but the food, live music and local arts and crafts make it an annual crowd pleaser. WineFest is a great way to spend a leisurely spring afternoon, wandering the grounds of Habersham Winery, getting to know the wines of the region. Wines from twenty member wineries of the Winegrowers
Association of Georgia will be featured during the festival (amazing!), including of course Habersham Winery and some of our other local favorites like The Cottage Vineyard & Winery, Sautee Nacoochee Vineyards, Serenity Cellars and Yonah Mountain Vineyards. To round out the afternoon there will also be some great music, featuring Tim P. White. This YouTube video clip of him performing an acoustic number is enough to make me want to hear more at the festival.
During the event there will also be an opportunity to try your hand at painting your own original piece of art. From 1:30pm to 3:30pm Fancy Doodle Art and Wine House will set up an informal painting session, so plan to let your creativity shine through on a canvas after a glass or two of wine.
While you are at the festival step inside Habersham Winery’s tasting room, one of Sautee Nacoochee’s largest and
most popular. There you can see their wine making facility, browse a great selection of
wine related retail items and purchase one of your favorite wines to
take home.
