For all you beer fans who enjoy sampling the latest and greatest craft beers (that’s us!), there’s a new restaurant in Helen to try. Catch 22, a popular gastropub in Athens, Georgia, has now opened a spot in downtown Helen, and we couldn’t be happier.

The casual restaurant is all about great brews and comfort foods, and it does both extremely well. Let’s start with the beers. Catch 22 offers you more than 35 beers on draft, including pilsners and wheat brews; blonde, red, and brown ales; porters, stouts, sour beers, and specialty brews. And if these aren’t enough for you, there is also a beer selection in cans, plus wines and spirits. Bourbon drinkers, take note: the bar has over 100 varieties!
To go with all these tasty pours, it’s hard to beat the Catch 22 chef’s choice burger. You never know what it’s going to be, but you can bet it’ll be over-the-top and delicious. Another popular dish is grilled cheese with homemade bread, served with homemade tomato soup. Mmm, mmm good. The pub menu features a selection of appetizers including peach wood smoked wings with an assortment of sauces. In addition to a lineup of burgers, there’s a nice choice of sandwiches and several specialty dishes, such as takedown tacos—a spicy concoction with tuna and wasabi honey mustard.
With a laid-back vibe and a friendly staff, Catch 22 is a great addition to Helen’s dining scene!
