Readers, writers and book fans of all kinds will be heading to the northeast Georgia Mountains for the annual Dahlonega Literary Fest, March 1-2, 2019.
This celebration of books and the written word spans a wide range of genres and draws an enthusiastic crowd for the two-day event. Now in its 16th year, the Dahlonega Literary Festival is held in the historic downtown and offers individual presentations, panel discussions, workshops, a Festival Book Store, book signings ad more—all of which are free to attend.
As of this writing, there are 15 featured authors expected and a special honoree guest, Rebecca Wells, author of Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood series. In addition, a selection of regional authors will be on hand, representing fiction, non-fiction, poetry, travel, cookbooks, juvenile, the arts, and young adult fiction/non-fiction.
A special Regional Writer and Featured Author book Sale will be held Saturday, March 2, 2019 at the Dahlonega Baptist Church. The sale will be managed by the local FoxTale Book Shoppe, a great little downtown store that is a must-visit for bookworms.
The event is also sponsoring a Gala Dinner and Keynote Speaker on Saturday evening. Tickets can be purchased at the Dahlonega Literary Festival website.
