Why the Hype?
There’s a lot of buzz surrounding CBD oil and its potential for easing muscle pain. With the recent legalization of medical marijuana in numerous states, many people have naturally become curious about why pain sufferers are drawn to the plant. Here’s what you need to know about CBD oil and what you can expect with our new massage treatment add-on at the Lucille’s Mountain Top Inn & Spa!
What is CBD Oil?
CBD (also called cannabidiol) is an odorless, colorless substance derived from the marijuana plant. But unlike other derivatives of the plant, CBD does not contain the substance THC (also known as tetrahydrocannabinol), which is responsible for the psychoactive effects commonly associated with marijuana. So a CBD-infused massage will not get you “high”, nor will it leave behind the tell-tale scent of marijuana.
What Can I Expect in a CBD treatment?
We use a CBD-infused cream product called SILK CBD. It is made of shea butter, cocoa butter, and MCT coconut oil. So your massage treatment will feel and smell much like a normal massage. Potential benefits of this cream include relaxed muscles, reduced pain and inflammation, reduced anxiety, and increased quality of sleep post-massage. Many folks also report an improvement in the condition of their skin treated with CBD. Acne, age spots, psoriasis, and eczema are all problems that might see improvement through this treatment.
How Can I Try It?
It’s easy—just book any massage treatment at our spa and ask for a CBD oil add-on! For only $20 extra you can enjoy this special cream and its many potential benefits. Your muscles and joints are sure to thank you. And remember, you don’t need to be staying at our inn to use our spa, so if you find yourself nearby, book an appointment! Of course, we’d love to give you the full Lucille’s treatment! There’s nothing quite like a long, luxurious massage followed by a restorative nap in one of our quiet, cozy rooms overlooking the majestic mountainside. Give us a call today! (706-878-5055)
