    Georgia Mountain Fall Festival

    October 7th- 15th — Hiawassee, Georgia

    This nine-day event features arts and crafts, tons of vendors, educational demonstrations, and exciting musical performances. Enjoy over a dozen rides including a carousel, ferris wheel, bumper cars, and much more!


    Georgia Apple Festival – North Georgia’s Biggest Celebration

    October 8th & 9th, and 15th & 16th — Elijay, Georgia

    The Georgia Apple Festival in Elijay will be celebrating its 51st year with hundreds of vendors offering food, arts and crafts, loads of fall fun, and much more!


    Appalachian Brew, Que, and Stew Festival

    Saturday, October 22nd in Hiawassee

    The 2022 Appalachian Brew, Que, and Stew Festival brings you great craft breweries from Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina & Alabama. There will also be delicious food from area restaurants, regional arts & crafts, and lots of Appalachian & Americana music!


    Helen’s Oktober Fest

    Saturday, October 22nd in Hiawassee

    Alpine Helen’s Oktoberfest celebrations have been going on for more than 50 years, involving multiple weeks of traditional dancing, food, and, of course, beer from September through October. Held in the city’s riverside Festhalle, the permanent home of the festivities, the celebration is the longest-running of its kind in the United States.

    Revelers dress in traditional attire, lederhosen and dirndls, while dancing to the polka. Find out for yourself what makes this tradition so unique by planning your own trip to the event!


    Mountain Moonshine Festival and Car Show

    October 21-23 in Dawsonville

    Vehicles 1962 vintage and older, take a route through the heart of Northeast Georgia’s Moonshine Country. The festival will take place at the Georgia Racing Hall of Fame at Dawsonville City Hall’s Main Street Park.
